MacOS X ships with Perl 5.6 as a standard component. Many programmers still prefer MacPerl, a free version of Perl for MacOS 7.0 or higher (pre-X). If you run your applications in the MacOS X, you would not need MacPerl and you may not find the MacOS X version of MacPerl.
